Little Free Library
Pine (painted) – Poplar (painted) – Polycarbonate – Aluminum
36” x 16.5″ x 72”
This not-so-little free library was commissioned by a neighborhood homeowners association. It was painted and finished to be similar in appearance to the neighborhood clubhouse where it resides. The stand, case and roof are pine and the door frames are poplar. Since the library is locate outdoors and is accessible to children, polycarbonate was used in the doors in lieu of glass. The trim and hardware on the doors is aluminum. The main doors have self-closing hinges and the side panels latch closed with friction catches. The shelf behind the main doors is adjustable.
